Gone Girl (2014)

Soggy, meaningless ending ruins OK thriller with good cast

It's a cross-double-cross-triple-cross kind of thriller where everybody is betraying everybody else.

The lead actress is superb I have to say, and Ben Affleck is good too, the lawyer I liked, and Doogie Howser and the other jilted boyfriend are also good, although the scenes with Doogie Howser are slightly unreal, since it's very hard to believe that anyone can live in such a palace without several staff to take care of the place.

But what is up with the ending, or rather non-ending? I don't want to write a spoiler, but it turned the whole tension of the film into complete mush and meaninglessness.

I definitely would not recommend this film, it seems to be just a set up to make a sequel or something.
