Per un pugno di dollari (1964)

Fantasy/superhero western

Super hero movie meets western. Clint Eastwood is a "super hero" of gunfighting, who can confidently stride up to a bunch of armed men, safe in the knowledge that he'll be able to gun them all down with his trusty six-shooter.

I used to love these dollars westerns, but looking at them again now they seem a tad silly.

Clint is quite happy to gun people down wholesale, but then he is worried about one woman and her husband enough to save them? Why?

And Ramon is a super-villain, able to machine-gun everybody down from the back of a horse and cart. Yet he is too stupid to put two and two together as his shots repeatedly bounce off Clint.

It's a silly fantasy film, but with some good scenes and good music.
