Michael York may not be a real prince, but he's a prince in our hearts, making him a Prince of Hearts.
In this rather ridiculous but enjoyable film, Michael plays the Prince of Wales having a short relationship with a Japanese woman during a stay.
The plot is somewhat like "Roman Holiday" but with added nude bathing scenes. A lightweight entertainment.
In Michael York's autobiography he noted that he would have liked to get to know his Japanese co-star Aoki better, but he wasn't able to since she was also filming a TV series (Bark at the Sun) at the same time as making this, so immediately on finishing her scenes with York, she would be whisked away to another set.
