Interstellar (2014)

Huh?

A difficult-to-decode message tells him to go to a location, then having arrived there they find they can't take off the spaceship without him, even though they made no effort to contact him except by future him sending a message by "gravity".

They are searching for a planet for future humans to land on, so they land on a planet with gigantic waves where time runs very fast, orbiting around a black hole, and for some reason which I missed, the Anne Hathaway character is so desperate to get some "data" or another that she risks her life and gets another of the crew members killed and makes them stranded on the planet for what results in twenty years of time.

The earth is dying, so they're unable to grow any plants except sweetcorn, due to a blight which lives on nitrogen, according to the Michael Caine character, so all the other millions of crop plants have all died?

It just doesn't make any sense at all. Who on earth watches these godawful ridiculous, meaningless things and rates them with ten stars?
