Julia Roberts is the mother of druggo Ben, who is back against sensible advice from the funny farm he was sent to to cure his drug addiction. Ben used to be a huge troublemaker, causing the death of a girl, and being involved with all kinds of low lifes.
The low-lifes see Ben is back and dog-nap his terrier, "Ponce", to force him to do something or another involving cling film.
Julia Roberts does a really remarkable job making the whole thing believable. The Ben actor is OK too.
It's not too bad as a picture. I'm not sure what the point of the ending was.
