Septembers of Shiraz (2015)

Dreary "message" picture

It's a film about a Jewish jeweller and his family who are forced to flee from Iran after the 1970s revolution.

The premise of the film is OK but it gets a bit dreary, with scenes where the mother and her servant vent their various grieveances, and the husband is tortured and tormented in the prison, again in a dreary, aimless fashion.

The entire dialogue of the film is in English but in a mannered format and all pronounced with an accent, which is not necessary in my opinion.

I watched about half of this before getting really fed up with it and then skipped through to the end.
