Theater of Blood (1973)

Very disappointed

Vincent Price is an actor who does away with his critics in Shakespearean fashion. Diana Rigg is his daughter and accomplice.

A friend of mine kept telling me how great this film was for years before I actually saw it, which is probably why I was so disappointed with it. Although it can't be anything other than a comedy, it's not really that funny and it's not really exciting, it seems a rather mediocre tale to me.

Also, whose bed did Robert Morley's godfather put a horse's head into that he was cast over and over again in these films and TV shows from the 1970s and 1980s? The Keira Knightley of his day, he seems not to be able to act to any significant degree, but to simply deliver the same exasperating pastiche of eyebrow raising and hooting in each film, and yet again and again, despite his total failure to deliver the goods, we are subjected to the ordeal of watching him once again. No I don't want to see Morley killed in an amusing way, I want to not see this fellow and his truly dreadful overacting at all, full stop. If only Mr Morley had chosen some other profession.
