The Bold Type (2017-2021)

Gimme a break

One girl who thought she was straight suddenly develops an overwhelming attraction for, of all things, a lesbian muslim, and the two straight women who are her best friends are incredibly positive and enthused and keep saying "how romantic". Nothing very much negative happens, except for the lesbian muslim's tribulations about immigration, and the revelation that our starlet had not been in "a relationship" before chancing on her sapphic Islamic friend.

One girl who thought she couldn't have an orgasm meets a sex columnist for a men's magazine who writes about his exploits, and immediately she has double orgasms with him, but she doesn't love him, she's seeing other people.

The other one of these people is having an affair with a big cheese hot shot lawyer, but nobody must find out about it, so they walk around hand in hand all over the place.

Donald Trump came to eat next door, so they could not leave their building, because like most buildings this building doesn't have exits at the back, only at the front, and as usual nobody is allowed to leave when Trump is eating next door.

The crown jewel in this inanity is that the editor of the magazine is so incredibly nice and helpful, especially when her staff bodge everything.

I think they used a plot device "accidentally posted the wrong thing to Twitter/instagram" three times in the first few episodes.

It's difficult to really think of something intelligent to say about all of this, it was enjoyable for a while but I've had enough now.
