Gene Hackman is a "meat packer" who's also part of a crime organisation but he's gone rogue, making literal mincemeat out of organisation members. That means that "enforcer" Lee Marvin has to come out to the boondocks to tell Gene what's what, but Gene is not a happy camper, and decides to give Lee a thrashing, with the benefit of a combine harvester.
Gene also has a sideline in sex slaves, and Lee Marvin proves he's got a heart of gold under his tough exterior by saving Sissy Spacek from a fate worse than death.
In the finale, Lee reveals that he got a gift boxed set of machine guns from Santa for christmas, and he's going to use them to give Gene what for. Gene puts up a stubborn resistance, complete with cackling, in a fight scene which goes on too long.
This film is somewhat entertaining, but it's also rather ridiculous.
