The story is a black comedy about two young men who kill a friend to see if they can get away with it.
It's somewhat entertaining at times, especially the more comical scenes during the party. The killers seem not very well motivated. James Stewart does his best with some rather far-fetched material.
This is quite overrated, due to the reputation of the director. It's watchable, but it certainly isn't any kind of classic.
