Idiocracy (2006)

Heavy-handed, overdone satire

It's a satire on where culture may seem to be heading, due to stupid people having many children, and intelligent people having few.

However, the satire is very heavy-handed and not very funny. There is not really much of a plot. It's not funny, and it's not entertaining. The lead character is rather uninteresting, and all the future people are such absurd exaggerations that there is little room for anything other than one-dimensional.

I could not really see where this is similar to the characters in Mike Judge's other works. For example there is nothing so obvious as this in King of the Hill, nor do the stupid people in the film make us laugh like Beavis and Butthead, nor do we see anything like the satire of work life in Office Space, or the satire of Silicon Valley. So it's not at all typical of Mike Judge's other work.
