Hypnotic (2021)

Weak plotting and poor performances

A woman tries hypnotherapy and ends up being deceived.

The plot is so obvious and so cliched and so silly (the hypnotist gets various of his patients to kill themselves or others) that it's a little surprising such a film was made.

To illustrate what I mean by silly, after the lead character realises she was hypnotised into attempting to murder her boyfriend via his allergy, reporting it to the police, and then finding out that the hypnotist might have murdered someone else through hypnosis, the first thing she does is to go back to the hypnotist to get hypnotised again? What?

I didn't find the acting at all convincing, in fact it was somewhat on the silly side in my opinion, which matches the general air of silliness of the story.
