The Most Dangerous Game (1932)

Quite good thriller

It's the "hunting for humans" story seen so many times in films like Predator (1987). In this, a Russian count, Zaroff, living on an island with his loyal servants, lures and wrecks ships then hunts down the survivors, keeping their heads for trophies.

In this case he captures a big-game hunter and a beautiful woman, then releases them onto the island before giving chase. The effects and the chase sequence are done quite well.

This was filmed on the same sets that had been constructed for King Kong (1933), and the woman star, Fay Wray, is the same.

Obviously the film is nearly 100 years old now, so it's a bit dated, but it's still quite an entertaining film, especially the "over the top" performance of Leslie Banks as Zaroff, a fellow who likes to kill, and then to love, because apparently "it quickens the blood".

There is also a "message" in the picture about big game hunting, evidently many people disapproved of this back in 1932.
