Kiss the Girls (1997)

By-the-numbers thriller

Morgan Freeman is a forensic psychologist on the trail of a serial killer/kidnapper.

It is well made but it's the cinematic equivalent of paint-by-the-numbers, a collection of scenes based on other, similar, films, and very little in the way of genuine surprise or tension.

Without giving away the ending, the first time that the villain appeared on the screen, I thought "I'll bet he turns out to be the villain", and what do you know.

I can't recommend this very highly, but if you've never seen any other Hollywood thrillers in this genre you might enjoy it more than I did.
