Jennifer Beals plays a welder cum dancer who wants to take her dance career further, but can't quite sum up the courage to apply to the dance college. Her sexy boss at the welding place falls in love with her after seeing her exotic dances at the local bar, and he helps to further her dancing career.
Jennifer Beals is adorable & very pretty, but after watching this, you may not be surprised that she didn't win the Oscar for best actress. Her acting career didn't take off after this one starring role. And if you look closely during the dance scenes, you can tell that the person dancing has a quite different body type to Beals, if the fact that they don't show her face during the dancing doesn't give that away. She probably can't weld either.
But anyhow this film is very entertaining, it has great music, and Beals manages to charm her way through it.
